Kitchen_833 is an attempt to imagine what it would be like – what it will be like – to experience a growing number of natural disasters, a massive exodus of climate refugees, or the fall of current agricultural practices, just to name a few predicted (or already ongoing) threats. During the residency organized and curated by Project833, the focus of my attention was directed to the question of food and how we could adapt to these changes. What if there was a shortage of food on sale? Where would we get any? Are we even aware where the food we consume today comes to our plates from? As a result of these questions, I began to look for edible local wild plants and prepare a menu out of them using local knowledge, saying no to the anxiety caused by the thought of climate disaster.
